About This Policy
How we use cookies and similar technologies. Version 1.0 · Effective September 10, 2026.
Hello Recruiter Inc. ("Hello Recruiter," "we," "us," "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our public website at hellorecruiter.ai and in the Hello Recruiter platform at app.hellorecruiter.ai. This Policy explains what those technologies do, which ones are set, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy at hellorecruiter.ai/legal/privacy-policy, which describes how we handle personal information more generally.
Our website and our platform serve different purposes and use different technologies. Section 2 covers the website; Section 3 covers the platform. Candidates taking part in an employer's hiring process should also read our AI Disclosure at hellorecruiter.ai/legal/ai-disclosure.
1. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a site stores on your device. Cookies let a site keep you signed in, understand how the site is used, and remember your preferences. We also use similar technologies — local storage, session storage, and pixels — and refer to all of them as "cookies" in this Policy.
We group them into four categories:
• Strictly necessary — required for the site or platform to work, including signing you in and keeping your session secure. These cannot be switched off.
• Functional — remember your preferences and support features such as our support chat.
• Analytics — help us understand how our site and platform are used so we can improve them.
• Advertising and attribution — set by third parties that also use them to measure performance across their own services. These appear only on our website, never in the platform.
2. Our Website (hellorecruiter.ai)
2.1 Cookies Used on the Website
2.2 Session Recording
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with pages on our website — clicks, scrolling, and navigation — so that we can improve it. Text you type into form fields is masked and is not captured. Clarity sets cookies that Microsoft also uses for advertising and other operational purposes across Microsoft services. We do not use those cookies for advertising ourselves and we do not run advertising campaigns that rely on them.
2.3 Visitor Identification
We use Apollo.io to identify the organisations — not the individuals — whose networks visit our website, so that our team can understand which companies are interested in our product. This works by looking up the network address a visit comes from.
3. The Hello Recruiter Platform (app.hellorecruiter.ai)
3.1 Cookies Used in the Platform
3.2 Candidates
Candidates invited to an interview reach the platform through a single-use link sent to them, rather than by creating an account, and the cookies set are those needed to keep that session working. We do not run session recording in the platform, and we do not set advertising cookies anywhere in it.
3.3 What We Do Not Do
We do not use advertising cookies within the platform, we do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
4. Third Parties
The providers named in this Policy set cookies under their own privacy terms as well as ours: Google (Analytics), Microsoft (Clarity), Intercom, Auth0, Datadog, Apollo.io, CookieYes, and Framer, which hosts our public website. Providers that process candidate data on our customers' behalf are listed at hellorecruiter.ai/legal/subprocessors.
5. Managing Your Choices
• Website preferences. Use the cookie banner and the preferences link on our website to accept or reject categories at any time. Your choice is recorded and can be changed later.
• Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to the platform.
• Preference signals. We honour recognised opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, where applicable law requires it.
• Provider opt-outs. Microsoft offers a separate opt-out for Clarity telemetry, and Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics.
Where consent is required by applicable law, cookies other than strictly necessary ones are set only after you have given it.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the technologies we use change. The current version is always available at hellorecruiter.ai/legal/cookies, and material changes take effect prospectively from the date posted.
